Formed in July 2011, this new and exciting chorus has it`s rehearsal base in Southgate, Crawley, and hopes to attract singers from around the South East counties. The birth child of experienced singer, director and coach, Peter Kennedy, Fever is an enviroment from which women can enjoy being musically challenged whilst enjoying the thrill of a cappella at its hottest! From show stoppers to modern pop songs, barbershop, jazz, swing and most things in between, Peter believes passionately in producing beautiful singing from great music and in expecting the best out of every member of his group. This is the beginning of a journey, and if you would like to know more about how you could be part of it, then we`d be really pleased to hear from you.
It seems a long time ago when Fever first began the journey to audition for Crawley's Got Talent, way back in October 2011. We had only been formed since September and the energy and commitment needed to get our audition song up to performance standard was intense but we managed it and out of almost 180 acts from across Crawley, Fever was selected to appear at the final at The Hawth Theatre
So on a very cold day on Saturday 11th February we made our way to The Hawth to take part. There was a very diverse range of acts, vocal, instrumental, performance skills, dancers and how the judges managed to choose their 6 finalist is amazing.
With all the acts on stage, the music started up, the lights flashed and the judges announced their decision ........and FEVER were through as one of the 6 into the final which was to be by audience vote. We were so excited to have made it through, our first competition and into the final, what a thrill.
In the audience vote we came 4th which was just great, the three top spots going to very talented performers. It was wonderful taking part, to get our name known to a few more people in Crawley and hopefully tempt some ladies who would love to sing with us to come along and meet us, any Monday evening.
